AUG 3 - AUG 6: BERENTY PRESERVE
Overnight at BERENTY LODGE on Full Board.

Evening walk before dinner to see some of the nocturnal creatures especially the Madagascar Scops Owl and the White Browed Owl.

Morning walk in the gallery forest to see lemurs ( Verreaux's Sifaka, Ring-tailed lemurs and Brown lemurs ). Berenty reserve is also rich in birds namely the Madagascar Harrier hawk, Hook-billed Vanga, Giant coua,…. In the afternoon, visit the radiated tortoise reserve and the sisal plantation factory. A botanical garden is one of the major subject of this private reserve.

AUG 6: ANTANANARIVO
Transfer to the airport in Fort Dauphin. Fly to Antananarivo via Toliara. Overnight at HOTEL DE FRANCE on Bed and Breakfast.

AUG 7- AUG 10: PERINET PRESERVE
Overnight at VAKONA on Full Board.

Evening walk before dinner in the reserve to see some nocturnal animals. It is the place where you can see closely the smallest chameleon, Nazitus. If you are lucky, you may find some lemurs such as the mouse lemurs, woolly lemurs and dwarf lemurs.

Morning expedition in the Mantadia National Park, a new National Park recently opened to the public an home for the island's most beautiful lemur called the Diademed Sifaka. This park is rich in fauna namely the black and white ruffed lemurs, bamboo lemurs and some red-bellied lemurs. Besides, it is the easiest place to find the Ground Rollers ( Pitta-like ground rollers, Short-legged ground rollers, Scaly ground rollers ). During the walk, butterflies and other insects are all around your you path. As for the flora, you will discover countless orchids. Then continuation to the natural swimming pool and to the waterfall. You will encounter different species of frogs along the path.

In the morning, you will run your discovery to the Analamazaotra nature reserve. It is not really far from your hotel. It is the best home for the biggest lemurs of the island, Indri Indri, and so peculiar for its haunting calls from the forest mist. This nature reserve has other species of lemurs (Commom brown lemurs, red-belliedlemurs , bamboo lemurs ). It is a refuge of astronomical bird species ( Velvet Asity, Kingfishers, Madagascar Buzzard, Blue Vanga, Tylas Vanga, Red-breast Coua,….).

AUG 10: ANTANANARIVO
In the afternoon, drive back to Antananarivo. Overnight at HOTEL DE FRANCE on Bed and Breakfast.

AUG 11-12: FLY HOME
Fly back to the USA via Johannesburg.
